Perper owns Playdrome Cherry Hill (36 lanes) and Playdrome Woodcrest (32 lanes) in New Jersey. These are state-of-the-art entertainment centers and Perper and his team do it right. Perper also heads up Advanced Management Corporation and currently manages two other bowling centers in the Garden State. Perper has been toiling in the bowling industry around 35 years. He’s a second generation proprietor who cut his teeth in the business working after school. “I like making the customers happy and putting smiles on guests’ faces,” Perper said. Bowling has evolved from a league focus to more importance in open play. Perper recognized that trend years ago and started positioning his centers to understand and deal with that business shift. “We must be successful in growing open play and organized open play to survive in the future, along with adding other business to the box,” stated Perper. “Good people are also the key to survival in the bowling business and I have been blessed with a good team. Also, the utilization of technology to grow and track sales will be important to survival and growth of our business.” Besides the core of bowling, Perper’s centers feature revenue sources such as Breakers Billiards and Finnigan’s Restaurant. He also took an aggressive position in generating organized open play by employing an outside sales person. This strategy has boosted sales significantly. Perper also appreciates the value of marketing and the service the Kaploe Marketing Group provides his centers. “Marketing is the key to success with open play and organized open play which is the future of the business. I am best at the operational side of the business, therefore I have identified a weakness in my marketing abilities,” explained Perper. “Kaploe keeps me up to date and helps my organization move forward in the marketing area.
